The Dusty Miller: the flower of the day

This picture is of a beautiful Dusty Miller plant. It is a favorite because it goes with anything. It is kind of fuzzy. It is mostly grown because of its silvery gray leaves. Its common name is Dusty Miller but its botanical name is Senecio Cineraria. It is available in April through September. But it blossoms more in the summer time. Is native to the western and central Mediterranean region. It is in a full shape. It fills out any area that you need. It only lives in a vase for about 3 to 5 days at the most. It needs to be in a place that gets a lot of sun and don't water it as much as you do other plants. This plant likes the dry soil better than damp. The meaning of the name "Dusty Miller" is "The Snow in the Winter" because of its white color. The retail price for one of these plants, if in seed form, is $1.99. But to buy the actual plant, it is $3.25. It is usually seen in a contemporary design because of when they grow.
